wtf. I wish we had a couple guys in the lineup that could at least recognize a curveball, much less hit one.

I don't know that any pitch thrown that inning was a strike, but most of them were either swung at, or called strikes anyway.

Is Lee on pace to set a career in K's? It seems like he is striking out a ton this year.

K's for derrek when playing a full season:

120

123

164

131

129

109

78 so far this season in 100 games If he plays 55 more games and strikes out once a game he'll be around his average.

And this folks is why we needed another bat.

Good bye.

See you all next year.

giving up already?

come on man, don't you at least want to put up a fight?

Fielder and Braun have gone deep tonight...

Fielder and Braun have a combined 52 HR.

To get to 53 HR for the Cubs you need to combine Soriano, Ramirez, Lee, and DeRosa.

please jim, i beseach you, make a trade.

But, but Cedeno and Murton tore it up at Iowa, isn't that enough? The Cubs, the only team in Baseball with guys who tear up the minor leagues but, can't manage to hit their weight in the big leagues.

You can't score 1-2 runs a game and expect to win a World Series.

It's just pathetic.

The Cubs and Brewers both have 52 losses... The problem with the Brewers is that over 46% of their offense is homerun dependent.

The only player that tries on this team is Ryan Theriot.

home runs are a statistic largely devoid of luck. hitting w/risp isn't.
