He's getting called out on strikes on pitches he would swing at. Could he be doggin it until they get back home for a 7 game stretch?

He couldn't hit 'em in his own park recently, either.

He's a shell of his former self.

i sure would hate to have that .272/.490/.551 line on my team

yeah, cuz dropping to that from .362/.609/.812 indicates he's still putting out at peak capacity.

He didn't look very good this past weekend against the Marlins in AT&T park.

EDIT: He really hasn't looked too good since the 2 HR game against the Cubs a couple weeks ago. He's 6-33 with 1 2B, 1 HR, 1 RBI since then.

... with 15 walks. So he's been on base 21 out of his last 48 plate appearances. Sure does look a lot nicer when you include that, doesn't it?

Yes, it definitely does. Look at his last 14 days:

.182 .426 .303

Hitting .182 but with a .426 OBP is pretty amusing.

Walking Barry is getting out of hand. It's more laziness now than anything.

I bet he'd get pitched around if he just stood up there filing his nails and didn't even bother bringing a bat.

That'd be cool with me.

Random thoughts:

I'm surprised Bonds hasn't gotten drilled much this last week. If I were a pitcher I'd rather be the guy that got suspended for putting a 4 seamer in the middle of his back than the guy that gives up 755 or 756.

For those that like Bonds' OBP consider the wear and tear that must have on his legs.

Why didn't Dusty Baker talk about Bonds clogging up the bases?

Speaking of Dusty, I watched the first 4 innings of last nights game and he didn't mention that he was in the on deck circle when Hank Aaron broke Babe Ruth's record.

People who use the "Bonds never failed a drug test" logic to defend Bonds are beyond dumb. That's like saying someone has never guilty of speeding since they never got a ticket- and nevermind the radar dectector on the dashboard.

Barry Bonds is the modern day Ty Cobb.

The BB's are more a product of the minor league quality lineup(made up of old guys of course) the Giants put on the field than Barry himself nowadays though.

Yeah, the Giants definitely don't give Bonds much help these days, that's for sure.

I wish bonds would get walked every single at bat so he never has a chance to break the record. He keeps playing until hes 50 and Arod is at 755 and passes him and he cries on the field

The fist pump seemed a little out of character for him

Ya it seemed odd for some reason. Hensley had a half ass smirk on his face after it went out too.

I should have clarified a bit more to what I was talking about. I was referring more to how he was swinging the bat. I know he's still got the walks and wasn't dismissing it. But his actual swings didn't look very good in that stretch and he wasn't making good contact.
