I just saw the Mets catcher do something I've never seen before.

 

He pounded his glove twice on the inside of the strike zone to make Hall think he was moving inside, then the pitch was an outside fastball.

 

 

I like it.

 

A lot of catchers will do that when they think the hitter is trying to steal location.

Or the pitcher will just drill the guy, like the Mets (I think) did to Neifi a couple years ago.

Chucky wang so he throws a fake wild pitch the ball bounces away from the catcher because he missed his spot on the fake wild pitch and the runner scores? I'd take my chances pitching

Game day shows ball three as a strike.

 

It wasn't really close to a strike, gameday seems pretty iffy.
