Ok i'll fail miserably first........

I'd like Hendry to bring in Gange and Lofton, we'll end up with another vet reliever and a bat for the bench ie nothing that will help send us over the top.

I wouldn't mind those 2 guys if we can get them relatively cheap. I'd prefer Gagne over Lofton also. Although Lofton makes our lineup fill in nicely.

Fontenot

Ramirez

Soriano

I dont see the need for a reliever with Guzman, Dempster, and possibly Wood all set to return pretty soon.

I predict the Cubs pick up a bench player who can play centerfield, but I dont think it will be Lofton. I would predict more of a Glanville pick up from a few years back.

They arn't going to pick up a starter unless it is at catcher or center, but I believe they think they have the pieces.

I see us resolving the 3 catcher thing by trading one of hill/bowen away. I also don't think Jones will be here come august 1.

Jorge referring to Jorge Posada?? Cause I have a hard time not seeing him re-signed by the Yanks.

Wow, I hadn't realized the OBPs Millar's been putting up. He wouldn't be bad as a right handed Daryle Ward, but it really limits the bench as long as you're going to keep 12 pitchers which it sounds like we'll get to eventually. You'd wind up with 1 guy as a backup CF and one guy as a backup SS/2B and that's about all you get.

i must concur with the idea of adding gagne and lofton. i'd stick lofton in center the rest of the year. the guy can still get on base. that moves pagan to a better role, 5th outfielder. not that pagan is too bad, he's actually a pretty valuable asset off the bench.

that's the only deal i'd do.

what would it take to get them though?

speaking of kenny, at what point do we start mentioning him as a hall of famer. its awfully close.

i hope it happens, he's one of the best leadoff men of all time. the only one who i can say who has been definitely been better is mr. rickey.

I don't think it will be anything spectacular. Just some of the dumping that will help this team. And maybe bring in a pretty good play to fill a hole and help further strengthen the team.

Since I hardly know more than just the big name players. I don't know who that might be.

okay this isn't a prediction but rather a dream I have for this club

Trade Jacque, Gallagher, position prospect for Gagne and Lofton

Trade Marshall, Murton, prospects for Griffey, Arroyo (I think Arroyo could be available because of his contract)

Then we make a serious push at the promise land with this...

SP

Z

Lilly

Arroyo

Hill

Marquis

Pen:

Eyre (blah)

Wuertz

Ohman

Marmol

Howry

Wood

Gagne

Lineup

Soriano

Lofton

Lee

Griffey

Ramirez

DeRosa

Cedeno

Soto

Bench

Floyd

Ward

Theriot

Fontenot

Bowen

Remember, it's a dream! I already know it's not going to happen so don't say that!

i don't think it would take much to get lofton, but gagne will be in higher demand. have to give up some young pitching, most definitely.

I'd give the nod to Tim Raines.

off the top of my head, so to say. raines was a great player as well, perhaps marginally better than lofton.
