Hopefully Sori hits well at the 5-spot so he can stay there.

Again, why do people think Soriano hitting 5th is going to do much good?

Because he can drive in more runs with people like Fontenot, Lee, and Ramirez hitting in front of him instead of the catcher, Izturis, Pagan, and the pitcher?

True. He also won't get as many at bats.

True, but I'd rather him be up 4 times a game with a chance to drive in base runners 2 or 3 times, than have him come up 5 times and only have 1 opp. to drive in base runners.

Wow this woman is awful.

I hope you're not surprised. It seems to be difficult to find people that can actually sing worth crap.

I think they should just do away with the " God Bless America" and jsut sing the anthem

Lots of people say that. I guess i'm in the minority that really loves that song.

Anyway, This woman is...interesting. She sounds really good for a while then hits a really sour note, then sounds pretty good again.

The thing is, the difference in OBP between the 3-4 batters and the 8-9 batters doesn't add up to two more RBI chances per game. It is much smaller than that. Add to that the fact that Soriano is only somewhat more likely to drive in those runs than DeRosa, and you have a much smaller impact than most people would think.

Studies have shown that the most productive lineups bat their hitters in order of OPS from highest to lowest. Why not bat one of the better hitters first then?
