Nice job Southpaw19 :D

Time to start a new streak and, more importantly, win this series.

Match-ups not really on our side.

Let's avoid giving up 4 or 5 runs in the 1st inning, ok?

Watch. When Marquis gets the first out, it will be a such a relief.

Rich Hill got the first guy out yesterday.

It will be very interesting to see the SS situation tomorrow. It's pretty obvious that the Fontenot experiment at SS is over. Is DeRosa going to get some starts at SS? Or are the Cubs back to Theriot/Izturis (hopefully in that scenario Cedeno comes up instead)? It might be hard to tell with Marquis on the mound-Lou might put one of Theriot or Izturis in there tomorrow and then put DeRosa in for other pitchers, but I hope he lets DeRosa get some time there.

I bet Izturis starts at SS tomorrow.

I would too...if i was a betting man of course. A 1-2-3 first would do wonders for my soul. A win...even more so.

After yesterday's 7 nonpremium pages before the game started, this one will be lucky to get to 4 due to the difference of starters (young pitcher on a roll vs. vet on a cold streak) and outcome of the previous game.

I'm definitely not confident in a win here.

There's no mistaking that this is a big game. A win and we gain a game on the Brewers and get back to .500.

If we lose, we fall another game back and fall two games under. A loss erases a lot of the good gained over the winning streak.

Marquis hasn't gotten into the 6th in over a month and our bullpen is absurdly depleted.

This won't end well.

I think you meant to say.... "hasn't finished the 6th in over a month", no?

I think we win this one as well. Bush is there to be had. Not that Marquis isn't.

But I just have this feeling that no matter what happens today, yesterday killed any momentum the Cubs might have gotten from this series. Friday was crushing for the Brewers, but they responded like a division-winning club should. By kicking our teeth in.

So no matter what happens today, I think the Brewers have shown more than the Cubs.
