Wait am I the one arguing how Hill has been awesome 100% of the time, when he is in the middle of a start where he gave up 5 runs in 3 innings?

exactly what he said... nice work

Yes that is what he said, look back it has been bolded about three times.

OK, I have no interest in ripping Hill or "proving" that he sucks...some of you are talking like you're enjoying him doing badly. I'm more concerned that he's hurt...I'm probably just overreacting, but isn't this like his 3rd or 4th "iffy" start in a row?

Even if you include the word nearly, it's still an absurd statement. Awesome nearly 100% of the time...

No he's been pretty solid and I don't think he's showing any signs of injury.

I'm just more concerned with the fact that when he doesn't have good command of his breaking ball or it isn't extremely sharp, he has nothing to fall back on. He's still a good pitcher, he just needs to find ways to fight through days like this.

Nobody is glad hes been pitching terrible. But for all the hate Hill has received, the constant excuse making and kissing of Hills ass no matter how he pitches is just as bad.

You do realize his start before the last is when SD took batting practice off him right?

Wait... so you're saying that he wasn't awesome against the Padres?

And I know he looked solid for the middle innings of the White Sox game, but even that he seemed to be struggling a lot more than he has in the past.

Dammit, I want awesome Rich back.

Yeah but his 5 starts surrounding that one were solid.

No he pitched batting practice very awesome that day. Only problem was that it was during the game

These Cubs, like their forefathers, suck hard.

I like that once we get down early, the squad just mails it in.

Bunch of winners in there.

We certainly promised a lot of money for a long time and got very little for it. It'll be interesting to see how many wins our [expletive] signings actually buy for us.

I'll guess 10 total in 5 years.

But 2 of his last 3 have been horrible, so Its not far fetched to assume somthing may be wrong.

Is the 3 run home run the only of the 5 hits that was hit with any authority? I was on delay with Tivo and already knew the score so I just skipped most of the top of the 1st.
