Nope, it hasn't been 10 days yet. Cotts and Cherry are the two guys on the 40-man available at AAA. If they're rostering someone, I'd hope it's Pignatiello since they want a long-man.

Wade Miller is a waste of a 40-man spot. There is no reason the Cubs can't move him to the 60-day DL (or just release him), freeing up a roster spot for either Piggy or Prinz.

I too do hope Piggy gets the call, he's earned it. A real trooper, Carmen has slogged his way all the way up through the Cubs system, from rookie ball to Iowa. And done just fine at each stop. Give the guy his cup of coffee, if nothing else.

I used to play ball with Piggy's little bro, so i'm hoping Carmen get's the call up. I think I have an autographed hat of his from awhile ago, maybe it'll be worth something some day :D

Carmen's sister is a family acquaintance, so I've managed to snag a few autographs. Hopefully he comes up!

Scratch Neal Cotts from the potential call-ups, he hit the Iowa DL with a strained hamstring. Edited by CaliforniaRaisin

Bret Prinz - R Jun. 26 - 9:14 am et

RHP Bret Prinz, who was released by the White Sox last week, signed with the Cubs and has reported to Triple-A Iowa.

Prinz threw a shutout inning Saturday in his first action for Iowa. With the Cubs bullpen issues this season Prinz could be called up at anytime.

1 shutout inning...wow. Is he any good / worth calling up?

His minor league numbers have been solid, not spectaculiar. But he's logged a decent amount of major league service time and everything has been considerably worse. He didn't walk many in the minors, but the rate nearly doubled to 4.9 BB/9 in the majors. His strikeout rate sunk, his WHIP is way up, his HR and hits per 9 are up. I don't see how he's capable of helping the major league bullpen anymore than any other schlub.

670 just said Theriot is going down today, but didn't say who is coming up.

Guess Jacque will be warming the end of the bench for at least another night.
