I was at this game. I don't know what else to say. Be jealous. That's all.

Did a lot of people leave once the Rockies took the lead? It was hard to tell on TV.

Not really, but I almost did. I was with my friends. I got pissed as hell and said I was gonna go wait in the car. As I went to the exit, something made me turn around. I went to some seats somewhere else and caught the end with some strangers.

For those of you who have MLB.com gameday audio, the Pat and Ron call is available on archive. The call of the 9th starts at the 4:00 hour mark and the call of Soriano's at bat starts at exactly 4:12. Yes, Ron does lose it, but Pat is even houder than he is. Great to listen to after watching the game on TV.

You dont need Gameday Audio for the call.

You can just go Here and click on "Soriano's Game-Winner" under the pic of Marquis.

I was at game five of the 2003 NLDS in Atlanta. I'm not jealous.

As was I. Nor am I.

it seemed that a lot of people left well before that. Hard to say how many left after that.

I was at the double header versus the Pirates when the Cubs clinched the division. When the scoreboard showed that the Astros had lost, the crowd went nuts. Although, I've never been to a playoff game.

haha, after the error

Ron - "This is just too ... woah..."

Ron was going nuts during Soriano's hit but he was barely being picked up by his mic (YES YES YES COME ON YES YESSSSSS).... and then a couple of seconds after the run score he just starts laughing hysterically.

I'm having trouble getting the full game on my new Mac. I can get it to play, but I can't skip to various points in the game.

Yea, I was listening live, and when I went back to hear it again, my only thought was that the WGN radio crew really needs to do something in order to ensure that the mike is much closer to Ron when he has a cow like that. He was going absolutely ballistic, but he was too busy dancing around the booth, so we couldn't really hear anything.

i still can't bring myself to be that happy about last night's game. Good teams simply don't keep doing this, and they don't need the other team to botch a routine grounder to win a game like that. Yeah cool, the Cubs won the game, but all this really did was reinforce the idea that this just isn't a good ballclub.

Yup, but luck was on their side in the bottom 9th. Bloop single & routine play made into an error by Matsui, which would've ended the game.

Yeah, it was luck, but baseball is filled with errors like that happening to good and bad teams and everyone in between. Then the question arises of whether or not a team can take advantage of those errors. Last night, the Cubs showed they could.

I was at the game last night too. Just amazing. I was so pissed to see Eyre get hammered and then Howry coming in knowing he's pitched the last two games I knew it wasn't good. Decided to stick around for the heck of it and bam the Cubs come back on them. Very exciting. A good amount of people left in the 9th before we started coughing up runs and then more left after we gave up the lead. Good thing I stayed.

hahah here's the vid guys

Gotta love the narrator of that video. Obviously a White Sox fan. He didn't know who the Cubs' manager was and went crazy when Len said it's a felony to run on the field like that, which is actually is.

He made fun of Lou, saying he looked drunk, but the narrator is obviously drunk himself as he's slurring his words. Wonder why he stopped the video before the Cubs came back? He was so excited that this was the "biggest choke in Cubs' history."

And he's video taping his television?

This game is replaying on CSN right now, and it's in the bottom of the 8th. So the bad and good stuff is about to happen.
