I'm pretty sure CB Bucknor is going to behind home tomorrow, but I can't remember if thats good or bad..

It's bad...very bad!

He hasn't seemed so bad this year in comparison to the idiots we've had to deal with lately. Though my opinion may change tomorrow on him.

CB's alot like Angel Hernandez. I don't feel we get a particularly bad shake from him, he's just inconsistent and incompetent.

recent results with CB, including starting pitchers.

9/17/06 CHC 11 - CIN 3 C. Zambrano E. Milton

7/15/06 CHC 9 - NYM 2 C. Zambrano T. Glavine

10/1/05 HOU 3 - CHC 1 R. Clemens J. Williams

6/23/05 MIL 8 - CHC 7 B. Sheets G. Rusch

6/1/05 LA 5 - CHC 9 D. Lowe J. Koronka

8/26/04 CHC 8 - HOU 3 M. Prior B. Backe

5/15/04 SD 5 - CHC 7 A. Eaton S. Mitre -135/8.5

interesting that after tomorrow, the Cubs have had 10 different starters in the last 11 games with Bucknor behind the plate.

Bucknor behind the plate, the possibility of them throwing at Soriano.. it'll be an interesting game.

Why would they throw at Soriano?

why would a team not throw at Soriano at this point. it always seems to work out for the best.

Bucknor was the ump that caught dusty in his craptacular double switch abilities a few years back. Plus he's really inconsistant.

Angel Hernandez just has no grasp of a strike zone, whatsoever. He was the culprit about 5-10 years ago, calling Ron Coomer out on a pitch that was literally at his eyeballs. And then a former bear (whose name always slips my mind) said, during the 7th inning stretch, "..and dont worry about that ump. I'll take care of him."...and then was kicked out of the game. lol.

I was at the Reds/double switch game, sitting in the bleachers. we didn't have a clue what was going on.

if I am not mistaken, that is the only time Dusty was ever ejected for arguing during his tenure as Cubs manager, and you will note it was not sticking up for his players.

great game. Sosa-Alou back to back to win it. next day, the zone became the size of a teacup for Kerry Wood around the eighth inning costing the Cubs the ballgame. he received the same suspension arguing the strikezone that Chris Young got for throwing pitches and fists at another players head.

Well, Dusty figured it out, and then apparently couldnt stop doing it once he figured it out.

Didn't someone on here say they'd pay for someone else's premium if the Cubs swept a team, or am I high and just dreamed that?

I said if the Cubs ever swept a team I'd pay for my own.

It started in the previous Sox series. Cubs were 3 below .500, and a sweep would've put them at .500.
