I highly doubt we ever know what was said. I'm sure Young will deny saying anything regardless of whether or not he really said it. I'm sure Lee thought he heard something or will just lie about it to try to get out of his suspension.

I think it's mainly because D. Lee is such a cool, calm character that we have to assume it was something really bad to make him react so strongly.

BS. Did you not see the quotes in the paper? They threw at Lee because Soriano pimped his HR on Friday. All the work DLee did last year to get back, and this fool thows one on his wrist?

 

DLee did what I would expect from a guy who just had 4 months in rehab flash before his eyes. If you are going to come high and tight, you better expect some action.

He completely lost his cool, and it's gonna cost this team big when they need him most (right now).

I am not saying that, but to just come out and say it is racist cause a white guy got in a fight with a black guy without any sort of proof and without anyone on the field saying it had anything to do with racism seem to be jumping the gun a little bit.

No one is dismissing it altogether, but I think most would agree that it is only a very remote possibility.

 

Derrek is a great guy, but saying racist remarks are the only thing that could cause him to react that way is just being naive.

Unless there is evidence of racist comments, it's not fair to Chris Young for someone to "blindly" suggest it.

 

But the only thing that could ever make a black person angry is a racial slur, right? Couldn't be that he just saw his life flash before his eyes from a fastball heading toward his head thrown by someone 6'10, and then that said someone had to rub it in his face. That type of thing wouldn't set a black guy off like it would a white guy, right?
