Love the early start. The less wait on a boring summer day, the better.

It'll be a struggle to get up early enough to see the beginning, though. Have to consider the tradeoffs.

Think of it this way....when the game starts, it will only be 10 on the west coast. How would you like to play a game at 10 am?

The Cubs management are pulling a sneaky on this one.

anyother day of the week i miss this one, but instead the early start allows me to witness most of the game and hopefully go to work feeling good about their chances.....

Cobs will definitely need to be at the top of their game to win this one. Let's hope Z keeps up the new season and that the offense doesn't completely crap the bed.

For some reason I feel that we are going to shell Young today? I don't know why, just a feeling...Pie goes yard today.

Cubs still lose this game 8-7.

Im in Buffalo for a wedding later. I need to find a freaking bar that has WGN otherwise today is going to be boring for a while.

Optimistic about Z today.

I REALLY want to win this game. I saw on SportsNite, last night, that the Cubs haven't won a series against the Padres at Wrigley Field since 1999. That has to change!

I saw that also. How could that be?

Game isn't on WGN and it's blacked out on Extra Innings.

Which, oddly enough, is good for my career today. It got me to come into work and just listen to the game online.

Need to keep it rolling here...at some point the Cubs are going to need an 8-10 game win streak to get right back in the middle of things. Three down already.

I think the Brewers come to Wrigley for a weekend series in two weeks. Would be nice to be in striking distance by then and really put the pressure on them.

Well, Vegas thinks the Cubs are likely to win the series because they have Z as a -135 favorite today.

The game is on WGN in a little less than an hour. It's part of the 5 games in a row on WGN campaign, which btw the Cubs are 3-0 so far, which has to make the executives at WGN happy (they were promoting this for a couple of weeks, so more people probably tuned in than normal, and Cubs wins might keep them tuning in).

Why that is, I have no idea.

I would swear when I looked at chicagosports.com the other day it said this game was on CSN.

Now I really, really don't want to be at work.
