He's not going to pitch. Len and Bob speculate that Howry will be the guy.

you know, i kinda thought izturis was going to come through. it's the neifi perez theory...a guy sucks so, so bad for so, so long and it gets to the point where everyone is starting to realize that he shouldn't be playing, and then he comes through once to buy himself another two weeks. aka the glendon rusch theory.

 

He's not playing that often. Theriot is playing just as much and doing no better. We just have to hope Lou puts in the right guy on any given day.

Agreed, most managers would keep the hot hand in this situation and give the closer a day off

Love being wrong about this inning. But with the Cubs it's not mindless pessimism. They deserve every bit of it.
