I should show Arod the "ladies" that were outside my hotel this past week.

Vance, what hotel did you stay at? I lived on Clark, just south of Belmont, in a dumpy apt for a year, and my roommates and I easily witnessed a couple of tranny brawls when walking home from the wrigleyville bars. I'm assuming you stayed somewhere near there. Always an adventure.

And now for the obligatory ... "not that there's anything wrong with that." but ... yeah. too close for viewing.

I was at the City Suites on the 900 block of Belmont. Nice hotel, but the freaks come out a night.

Yeah, that's a situation where if you look puzzled or taken aback by some of the 'evening regulars' over there and they ask you if the scene is 'too real' for you, you simply nod and say yes, then move on.

It wasn't too bad. I did enjoy being that close to all the bars. It's just when I came back to the hotel each night, I felt someone should cue "Dude Looks Like a Lady."

Definitely some good bars near there and towards Wrigley. Can't forget to mention El Jardin on Clark, the place with the margaritas that will nail you to the floor. I very stupidly had 5 for Cinco de Mayo a couple years ago. Things were yelled out my window, and a cowbell was played to no end. I've been told it was entertaining.

There's actually a great bar down Clark a bit called Duke of Perth with fantastic fish n chips specials and some great scottish brews. Highly recommend it for your next trip to Wrigley if you wind up anywhere near there.

I enjoyed Redmonds on Sheffield.

i can't stand arod his antics on the field seem childish and not that of a highly paid superstar.. i don't really care about his personal life however weird it may be he is free to do what he wants and i don't he should be scrutinized for that so long as he does not commit crimes

the day punctuation died

Give him a break, English is not his first language.

Leave ARod alone. Who cares what he does on his own time. If the press followed the personal lives of every player the way they do ARod the ML divorce rate would be far higher and we would associate cheating with MLB the way we associate crime with NFL (at least recently).

They sponsor my softball team. I am currently in a Izturis-like hitting streak. Great food.

I guess I should've ordered some food. I did order plenty to drink! :)

Probably just sour grapes from some stripper he turned down for a lap dance. Really, who would grant a stripper any credibility?

Hey! I take offense. I dated a "former" stripper one time and she was..........

nevermind you are right on with your analysis. Boy that was a fun couple months though.

A trip to stripperville can be a fun roller coaster experience, can it not?

Sure can, so long as you can get out quickly and come out disease free. Which thankfully I did at least the disease free part.

Izturis-like hitting

I'm quite sure that's an oxymoron

exactly. i have successfully hit exactly to an infielder or shallow outfielder for an out my last 5 at-bats. it's really pathetic.

Who cares.

He needs to leave the big markets so I won't hear this crap anymore.

He's paid for a being a great baseball player, not for his taste in women or his marital obligations or even being a good person.

BTW: I can confirm from my years of bartending at a downtown Chicago hotel that ARod likes the slightly thicker and taller chicks with the big fake cans. Skinny/shorter chicks with anything less than d cups need not approach him. His teammates liked to pick off the rejects.

Also, if he was talking to a girl you made sure her drink was always fresh and made strong. That was the only time he tipped well.

I try to be open minded, but I just can't handle that.

Do they make you cry?

No, not cry. I don't want to say what they make me want to do because it will just open me up to more flames and condemnation.

Does anyone actually care?

Wow, a young good looking athlete likes blondes with big Rusch...shocking.

The NY tabloids need to get off of ARods ass.

I guess they make you feel like putting on a pair of high heels, a tube top and going down and joining them? If that is how it makes you feel don't be afraid to share. We are all open minded people around here for the most part and will not judge :)

Anyone subscribe to the theory that any more than a handful of Rusch is too much Rusch?

Anyone ever hear of an act called the Bucking Bronco? It's where you're Vladding a chick Home-Plate Ump style, tell her she's ugly or call her a different name and you grab onto her Rusch clinging for life so she can't turn around and Elijiah Dukes you.
