I don't buy we gave up a HOF talk but Hendry got shafted. Not only did he give up Maddux but he acquired and overrated, worthless SS who also was expensive. Essentially, Hendry added salary by adding the worthless bum.

In Petco perhaps but I'm not convinced Maddux would pitch as well at Wrigely Field at this point of his career. His ERA was ballooning when he left us.
