That was stupid baserunning!

i can't get too mad at him...that's the hardest the cubs have hit a ball all day.

um...

Soriano might have something to say about that.

Soriano wouldn't drive him in anyway. What does he have, like 13 RBI so far. LOL!

Ron Santo worked with Rich this past week. Big time improvement at the plate. Good bunt attempt in another AB and a deep smash.

Maybe Santo should work with Soriano, Izturis, Barret, Jones, Murton, and Floyd.

It took a perfect relay to barely get Hill at third, it wasn't a terrible decision.

More Wuertz warming up in the 6th and 7th, hopefully Z attacks Lou next.

Not really. He was out by about 10 feet. Wasn't even close.

What's terrible is we have one of our better pitchers sliding headfirst into 3rd base. Not good.

I know what you are saying TT, but no reason to get greedy when its a pitcher, and you have a guy that just hit moon shot coming up. Its things like that why we lose 1 run games all the time. No reason to make the 3rd out at 3rd by a pitcher

I don't really no what to say other than that you're completely wrong. His arm was extending to the base when he got tagged in the midsection. I had to look at the replay closely to make sure he wasn't actually safe.

Still. You learn in little league that you're not supposed to make the 3rd out in an inning trying to reach 3rd base. It's the mistakes like those that keep the Cubs from winning close games.
