Yeah, I'd say Barrett's days are number. Doesn't sound like Lou likes Barrett very much. Can't say I blame him with Barrett's crappy play so far this year.

So do we start purging players again for the sake of Chemistry? What's next? We trade them for guys who can catch the ball?

Catcher is about the only position where that should be a priority, no?

I doubt Barrett is going to be on this team for much longer.

Doesn't sound like it. Lou doesn't like him much.

barrett's gonna be gone by july 31st, if not much sooner.

typical, cubs...sell when the value is lowest.

Nice to see Lou put the onus where it belongs, with the players. On paper, this team should be quite a bit better than they've been playing lately.

C'mon! Let's get serious here. Play guys that can play. Bring up Pie and stick him in CF. Get rid of JJ. Just for starters.

Good time to go out and draft Matt Wieters the catcher from G-Tech....any chance he can be signed right away and brought to Wrigley?

as i predicted in the game thread...

dave kaplan is already throwing out the "is this the spark that turns this team's season around?"

meatball.

Lou also seemed to throw our good buddy Hendry under the bus there as well.

Thats what I took from the PC as well. Lou saying he knows what he would do but we wont go into that regarding player personnel. Also saying get some damn players in here that can catch the ball and run the bases.

No. A spark can't turn us into a smart baseball team.

No, that would be the smart thing to do.

Very un-Cubs-like

Barrett is definately being made the scapegoat for this one.

It's not warrented?

Z's as much to blame.

Let's not act like Barrett's not a moron for starting up round 2. However, Zambrano certainly seems to have instigated the first fisticuffs in the dugout. Clearly, both are idiots and showed it today.
