I haven't put much thought into this, and I really haven't done the research to see who is playing RF for the Mets, but woud Jones to the Mets make sense with Green out with a broken foot.

Again, to long of a day, so I don't want to look anything up (who actually is in RF, who would be a fair "prospect" to get back). Just thinking of trading to a possible need in NY.

Anything that gets rid of him and doesnt give us a Neifi Perez in return, I'll be fine with. I really want to see Pie in CF everyday. He seriously can't do much worse than Jones has in every category.

Agreed. I REALLY don't like a Pagan/Jones platoon in CF, that's nearly as bad as having Izturis as our everyday shortstop.

Murton is hitting good enough so that the difference in his bat is worth the drop in defense in RF. Pagan has been a decent enough backup CFer. Pie is tearing up the PCL. He's hitting .382/.448/.539/.987. Definitely worlds better than how he did last year at AAA. Neither Jones nor Pagan are productive enough to justify keeping him at AAA, he should be starting regularly up here. Jones simply isn't doing enough to justify his spot on the roster right now.

Edit: forgot to mention Pie's also putting on a little patience clinic down there too ( ) with a 13bb/16k ratio in just 102 AB. I like his newfound selectivity!

Moises Alou is about to come off the DL.

I like his bat much more than Jones. And Lastings Milledge is also a much better option than Jones.

Nobody wants JJ. The only way he is traded is if we pay the contract. Either he will be released or traded with the cubs paying his way. It is time to cut bait with some of these bad players. I like Howry and Eyre but it is time to start to make players accountable and if the cannot produce

I'm kinda with you there. We need bullpen help.

I think Jones would make a fine hot dog vendor, no need to trade him

Yeah right. I can just see him now. Man 13 rows up wants a dog. Jacque throws it into the ground about 9 rows short.

Yeah, Jones wouldn't be good at that job. How would the Trib be able to afford keeping the payroll with all of the lawsuits? Think about it...Jones's lack of range isnt' due to his weak arm. He'd be beaning people 4 rows in front of him with 90 mph brats.

Looking at the bright side, the local EMTs would have good job security...

I doubt anyone would take Jones without the Cubs paying the greater portion of his salary. The fact he's signed beyond this season makes him a very poor choice for a team trying to find someone to fill in for an injured guy for half a season.

I think Jones should be traded, but I doubt the Mets are this dumb. In order to trade Jones, we should focus on the teams with really stupid GMs like San Fran, Tampa, LA, LAA, Baltimore, and possibly Seattle.
