yea, it seems to be working for some games and not others. one possibility is that the gamecast system is having problems today (as in freezing up on all sites as it sometimes does) and that is making the live scoring not work right.

Looks like Giambi may be an easy keeper next year. Out 3-6 weeks w/ a foot injury and Cashman says it could be the year.

BTW, he's out of my line-up now.

I have the second highest score of the week, and am still losing by almost 15 points. However, I have a 3 to 2 pitching start advantage remaining.

So far the Cubs are being good to me today. A hit and a run for Johnson in Roadkill, a hit and an RBI for McCann in another league. Hopefully the Cubs can keep it close enough to give Wickman a save opportunity.

Just looking for a silver lining in this mess. :D

Your stupid relievers don't need anymore stupid points.

By the way, I thought long and hard about going with Wainwright instead of Bonderman. I'm very scared of the Cleveland Indians on Sunday.

typical motherfin' cubs. suck for seven innings against davies only to have ramirez jack a meaningless homer against the bullpen. what a terrible, completely unlikeable team.

I hate this team. I haven't liked the Cubs since that piece of crap 05 season.

200 points or fewer could win it between me and the Cakes this week.

yikes.

And meanwhile, 300 points could lose my matchup with Fuzzy Logistics. :D

I think that Victor Diaz homerun really will stand out to me as the moment my love for this team died.

I need do overs. I should have started Wainwright. Dammit!
I was just about to point that out; he has 5.1 shutout innings so far. Meanwhile, awesome performance by Webb for me. 8 innings, 4 hits, 1 ER, 1 walk, 8 strikeouts. At this moment I have a 49.5 to 0.25 edge today. And with Webb's game completed we each have two starts remaining (Washburn later tonight and Jennings Sunday for me; Bonderman and Santana Sunday for you). I think I have the upper hand now, but I'm far from claiming victory; both of my pitchers could certainly lay eggs.

Typically, I would say Bonderman and Santana will run circles around Washburn and Jennings, but Bonderman faces Cleveland and that team can flat out rake, doesn't matter who is on the mound. Santana is awesome at home, and he is pitching at home again on Sunday.

Rolen is probably done for the rest of the weekend at the very least. It looks like he's DL bound again.

Wainwright might be available if anyone wants to part with a 3b (assuming Rolen goes on the DL).

I won't be around at all this weekend to see how everything plays out. So, good luck NC. Although you may not need it.

Oh, and your stupid relievers don't need anymore stupid points!

But I got five more stupid points from Cordero anyway for four pitches. :D

unfortunately for you, Zambrano and Barrett each scored 50 stupid points today.

is that piece of [expletive] soriano ever going to hit another homerun or is he just going to end up with four? by the time he's 38, he should be good for a .700 OPS.

i swear, every guy hill walks ends up scoring.

Seven more "stupid points" from "stupid Wickman" today, thanks to the Cubs' imcompetence.

yea, I turned it off and assumed crooked number as soon as he turned to throw to 2nd. I swear pitchers throwing to second must make errors at least 50 percent of the time.

good point. even if the throw would be the runner (which it rarely would), the guy throws it poorly all the time.

making up a little ground on tim today, but it didn't help that drew, glaus and martin all sat. drew may be benched for tomorrow depending on the severity of his injury.

i need a rules clarification.

HBC picked up germano from free agency today and he's in the lineup for tonight's start. i understand that we can shuffle SP's from the bench into the rotation and vice versa to get the seven starts, but i thought it was determined that we could not pick up free agents during the week to reach seven starts.

well, [expletive]...smoltz isn't making his start tomorrow. and i left three starters, all of whom scored 18+ points sit on the bench hoping smoltz would be ready.

so can i pick someone up off waivers?
