Looks like NC has a potential closer in Gooz. Might as well expect him to land on the DL soon.
I do have that effect on closers. :D

Guzman hardly needs help there.

Interesting factoid: Not a single team has used all seven starts in all seven weeks. The max # of starts for any team is 48.

I am not sure what others are doing, but there has been a couple of weeks I had a sure victory as long as I didn't get negative points from a shaky starter, so I went with 6 starts instead.

Wow. How chickenshit of you. :D

Does kind of illustrate that pitcher swapping is not as prevalent or useful as you feared.

God Damn if I'm not playing someone with a decent team who is going to put up a big number this week. I guarantee I sore over 300 pts and lose, once again. I just have that feeling. Damn it Juan.. ever since I actually met you, my team has gone to hell :)

Had to rely on another spot starter and get burned on Jorge Sosa. Hopefully it's not that in the red after deductions. The good news is that my offense is keeping up with the Budcrew offense tonight.

cabrera bails out krod...i really need to quit watching these games.

Me too. Carmona decided to blow once I started checking the game out.

Oswalt vs. Lincecum.

Nice pitching matchup, but it's because they are the same person.

And to prove my point.

Oswalt- 3 IP, 0 hits, 1 K 7-1 GB/FB, 30 pitches

Lincecum- 3 IP, 0 hits, 2 K, 6-1 GB/FB, 30 pitches.

there's nothing worse than having the cubs play like [expletive] AND having a pitcher on your fantasy team be the reason. with the new pitcher-friendly point system, hill's looking at about -15.

I'm losing at least 15 on 2 starts. I'm hoping to break even.

wow...7-5 phils, marlins batting, runner at 3rd, no outs, ninth inning. hanley tries to bunt for a hit, but bunts it real hard toward first. the [expletive] philly 1b throws HOME. the guy easily scores standing up, and the tying run reaches 1b.

that's about as dumb a play as i've ever seen.

my goodness, what a collapse by the phillies.

now they have hanley dead to rights by 20 feet at home plate and barajas blocks the plate like the littlest bitch i've ever seen. he practically tucked his dick between his legs, put on a dress, poured himself a cosmo and ran back to the dugout.

i've seen one of the dumbest plays ever and one of the most cowardly plays ever this inning. i can only imagine what phillies message boards are like right now...

holy [expletive]...on the next pitch myers throws one four feet outside and starts holding his arm. the only thing missing is someone assassinating cole hamels from the stands.

i hope myers arm is broken because it couldn't take the move to the pen (not really, he's been pretty good for me lately) and they run charlie manuel's dumb [expletive] ass out of town for the stupid decision to make him a reliever.

How can they? Everyone thinks it's a great move.

Man, Oliver Perez has been doing great this season. :)

Schilling's gonna end up in the red after his TBAs are calculated...big help for me.

Interesting offensive day for me today. 4-34, but with 3 solo HRs. Tim's 8-32.

Overall this week, Tim is 17-85, I'm 17-88. Big difference is I have 5 HRs/12 RBIs to 1 HR/4 RBIs.

Pitching isn't much prettier, when you take out deductions, Johan Santana's 25 point start yesterday is more than our other 4 starters combined.....with Capuano still pitching.

i'm happy to say that he was all mine during the brief period of time when he was one of the worst pitchers in baseball. got him right after he was really, really good and lost him right before he got really, really good again.

the cubs suck, by the way.
