I've grabbed Mark Ellis and I'll start him at 2B since Weeks has missed four straight games with a strained wrist. My understanding is that I can sub Weeks back in if he starts playing again...right? I always get confused on the day to day player status thing. If I need to run with Ellis all week, that's fine.

btw - Raw and I square off in a matchup of two teams with "feast or famine" offenses and/or lousy d's.

The Dishmans showed what they were capable of in week 7. I need it to continue and get out of the clog in the east standings.

I predict another victory if I score like I did in week 7. I predict a loss if I score like I did in week 6.

I wonder what the highest losing score has been? I know I put up a 350 and lost last year.

Raw and Cakes both lost in week three when scoring 325+ points.

We play in week 9, right? I'll deal with you later.

Oops; we actually don't play until week 10. For some reason I thought we played next week.

OK, you get a reprieve so you can knock HBC down a notch. :D

Hmmm, I thought we played pretty soon. I'd thoroughly enjoy winning 5 of my last 6, but I know it's going to take some points.

Interesting factoid: Not a single team has used all seven starts in all seven weeks. The max # of starts for any team is 48.

Overall D squared is 10th in offense and pitching. However, here's how the team has performed over the past 4 scoring periods:

Last 28 days: 6th in offense and 11th in pitching

Last 21 days: 2nd in offense and 9th in pitching

Last 14 days: 4th in offense and 4th in pitching

Last 7 days: 5th in offense and 6th in pitching

I am not sure what others are doing, but there has been a couple of weeks I had a sure victory as long as I didn't get negative points from a shaky starter, so I went with 6 starts instead.

I wound up with only 5 or 6 starts in week 2. I lost one scheduled start due to rainouts (that was the week of the big nor'easter wiping out several east coast games) and I may have lost another start due to injury.

This injury crap sucks. My DL is full. Every one of my reserves is on the DL. One of my starting relievers is now going to the DL and I have a starting outfielder who hasn't played in nearly a week because of some sort of illness.

Geez.

39.5 lead through day 1. Not bad considering I was down 1 start to 0. It'll take all of the points I can get to get a win this week.
