Before everyone gets too excited, why don't we see what moves Piniella is actually going to make.

he's already taken guzman out of the rotation, and that's stupid enough.

seriously...he's taking dempster out of the closing role, calling up marmol, moving guzman from starter to closer and making a dempster a starter based on the ny game? and now it's all being reconsidered because dempster pitched one good inning the other day?

if all that is true...wow.

I think you are ALL OVER REACTING about something that is NOT even going to HAPPEN.

Thanks.

when you talk, do you actually emphasize the words you put in all caps? that would be hilarious, because they're more or less chosen at random.

Maybe, maybe not. Let me put it this way. You all are acting ridiculous. Posting how stupid Piniella is. Over reacting to something he said, when it's likely you are all taking it out of context. There is no way Dempster is going to the rotation. EVER. It's silly to even assume otherwise.

I like your new posting style. You used to capitalize entire random words. Now you use a lot of sentences. It is funny.

Dempster is 9/10, and has pitched very well this year. Outside of his awful game against NY, he's got a mid 2's ERA. If we're basing every decision off of one game, we're in trouble.

Guzman and Marmol for hard throwing RHs out of the pen, Marshall to the rotation, and Dempster as closer still.

Zambrano

Lilly

Hill

Marshall

Marquis

Guzman

Howry

Marmol

Dempster

Ohman

Cotts

Wuertz

Eyre is going to the DL/DFA. He's not doing well at all this year. Plus with Guzman, Cotts, and Marmol in the pen, we have some guys capable of giving us a lot of innings if needed.

Most important word you posted. I think we're overreacting here. No one know's if this will happen, and most of it sounds like the very media speculation that is roundly criticized on this bd.

And I love the "Piniella is dumb" commentary. Guy has been here all of 40 games and you have him all figured out.

So much for policing personal attacks.

They brought it up post-game, and Lou did not deny the possibility of Dumpster becoming a starter. He said they would be discussing it on the day off (Monday).

My personal opinion? I hate the idea.

If I was Lou at this point I wouldn't confirm or deny anything anymore. It's obvious many people in Chicago, including the media, can't handle it.

so when are we going to find out what's actually happening? Monday? Tuesday? Midday, or game time?

Dempster just said on Comcast that he will be made starter.

HAHAHAHAHA.

So the bullpen sucks, let's move the closer who's had one bad outing to the starting rotation. And move the 5th starter who's done above average to the pen.

Guzman for closer? Marmol? Wuertz?

Maybe closer by committe then.

We'll see how it works out, but I don't think Dempster's looked as good this year as some. I think it's 50/50 he gets raped as a starter.

I think it's closer to 100%.

I assume he'll be on a pitch count, it's not easy to go from closer to throwing 100 pitches every 5 days.

Eh screw it. Let Dempster get rocked, we will forfeit the game or hope the offense has a BoSox injection. Then we can tell Lou how stupid he is and everything will go back to normal. Maybe this will pop into their minds for their next brilliant move.

I don't understand the logic in this at all. Guzman has been pretty good, Dempster's been good. So now who's the closer?

I wonder if we'll get a definitive closer. I'm just guessing, but Lou might be thinking he can try out a couple guys in that role and go from there.

I guess I would want Wuertz or Guzman --- Marmol scares the hell out of me as a closer. He struggles to find the plate too often.
