Does Shawn Kemp still play for Portland? I haven't watched the NBA in a few years.

I think he looks like Oliver Miller now.

I heard he spends his days going from daycare to daycare picking up his kids all over the US lol.

This is as good of a scenario as the Bulls could have hoped for while still getting the nine pick.

I love it.

Yep. Shipping Oden and Durant out west is very nice. I wonder what Portland's asking price for Randolph will now be.

Nocioni and a next years 1st.

Atlanta at #3 is an interesting spot -- the best available players there are forwards where they need a point guard.

Conley's their man at 3.

HAHAHA Boston and Memphis.

If Minnesota or Memphis are smart, they'll deal us Garnett or Gasol and just rebuild completely. Having 2 top 10 picks in this draft would help those teams in a hurry.

Minnesota doesn't really have that option, especially with the Bulls. In order for a trade to work out now, the Bulls would have to ship out half their roster unless the T-Wolves agreed to take Wallace, which I doubt. Otherwise, they have to get 18 million somewhere, and none of their players really makes over 4 million. Gasol is possible, but again, the Bulls would have to give up too much talent to make the salaries match.

It's perplexing, because his skills would be of use to us, but after watching him a little he seems like a terrible fit for Pax/Skiles. I never saw him play team basketball once, or even attempt to.

Perhaps Skiles could beat him into submission.

I can't imagine it being that much. Given that they have an enormous hole at the three, they'd naturally ask for Deng, and Pax would quickly rebut. A healthy Andres Nocioni would be an absolute perfect fit it Portland. They need a guy like that to go with Aldridge, Roy, and Oden.

The key is if Nocioni is healthy. Say what you want about Zach Randolph and his problems off the court, but he is exactly what this Bulls team needs. And if anybody could get him to buy into the "team concept" it would be Pax and Skiles.

I would try to trade down if I was them -- if at all possible. Conley is not the third best prospect in this draft. He may not be in the top 10. Of course, he does play the position of Atlanta's biggest need. Conley at 3 would likely work out for them, but you should be able to get him much lower (maybe even their #11 pick). That said, Atlanta has to be absolutely thrilled to be #3 -- they get two picks in the top 11 when they had the chance of having none.

sixers give #12, #21 and a future 2nd for the #3 and take al horford or brandon wright. Portland would be able to grab Conley or Acie Law with the 12th pick.

i'd wet myself.

Ha ha, without a doubt.

Shelden Williams at #5, ugh, what a terrible pick. Marvin Williams at #2, same. What a sad franchise. I'm glad Oden/Durant won't go there and I hope Conley, Jr. doesn't either. I wish nothing but the best for Indiana HS players.

I've read comments from scouts and GM's that place him in the top 5. Lots of time between now and the draft. Don't take the mock drafts and ranking out there as gospel. I think Conley at 3 makes perfect sense for the Hawks.

i really doubt he'd go ahead of horford and williams, so if they're set on conley, i think they should definitely explore trading down at least to 5

Not the NFL draft. Number 3 is worth a lot more than that.

totally. Dwyane Wade was picked ONE pick ahead of Kirk Hinrich. Carmelo Anthony was a #3

I'm certainly not taking the mock drafts as gospel. I don't trust those peoples opinions. I trust my eyes, and my eyes tell me Conley, Jr. isn't the #3 prospect and is a borderline top-10 prospect. And I've seen Conley Jr. a ton over the years (I'd surmise far more than anyone here, not that it matters much) and talked to him numerous times. I'm a big fan of his game, but there are a handful of players I would take ahead of him without batting an eye.

Ben Gordon was listed in the 7-10 range heading into the draft. His workouts blow Paxson and Skiles away and the Bulls took him at 3. Like I said, long way to go and there haven't been any workouts yet.

Fair enough. We'll find out if your eyes and scouts' eyes are in sync the end of June.

That draft wasn't near as good as this one, nor is Conley, Jr. as talented as Gordon. He's great at running a team and is ultra quick, but he can't do the things Gordon can offensively. Also, if they had that draft again, Gordon wouldn't go #3. He'd go high, but not that high.

All that said, I was praying the rumored Al Harrington for a draft pick (to take Gordon) was true at the time. I loved Gordon.

If Conley, Jr. is at #11 now (I think that's where ESPN has him), I think he'll likely move up the charts. And he probably should. But if he moves to #3, I'll think the scouts' eyes incorrect. (Though, if he does, then obviously the Hawks would be less inclined to move the pick)
