Ok, I am not sure about this one, but I cannot mess with Karma right now. I really think the train is starting to role. This line-up is starting to come together and I really think the pitching is going to stay good.

A couple of comment from being at the games this weekend:

1) Derek Lee is worth every cent of my $42 ticket--he plays with such grace and elegance for a man his size and just seems like even a better leader than a player. I really like him

2) I think Lou is really starting to get a feel how to use his team and more importantly the players are starting to understand they must stay involved.

3) JJ is a better ball player than anyon here gives him credit for and is much better in CF.

4) This goes without saying, but I just remeind myself every summer how there is no better place on earth than the corner Clark and Addison! What an absolute treasure Wrigley field is!!

I think this is extremely unlikely, but I thought getting back to .500 that quickly was unlikely as well, so what do I know?

Don't mess with the man's mojo when he's rolling....

After nailing that prediction, I was hoping the next prediction would be a 4-0 sweep in the World Series. But, 1st place on June 1st wouldn't be bad.

Baby steps. Gotta test the newfound mojo waters before plunging into the deep end.

And yes, I think the Brewers will lose about 6 games between now and Juse first. That's all the Cubs will need.

With no head-to-head games between the two teams, this will be tough to do but I would LOVE to see it happen. I'd be satisfied with the gap closing by a couple games.

Brewers are gonna start losing and a lot... they've been beating up on cupcakes in the NL Central and now they have to play the Big Dogs after they get past the Nats.

Their schedule has looked a lot like the Cubs' so far, and it's going to be similar to the Cubs in the near future.

Very true.

Their upcoming schedule:

Nats, NYM, PHI, MIN, LAD, SD, ATL, FLA

The Cubs would have a .5 game lead when June 1st rolls around if they go 16-6 while the Brewers go 10-12 the rest of May. Not impossible but I'm not betting the farm on it just yet.
