It's wrong to hate an opposing player with good defense? I'd find it as more of a compliment than anything else.

 

If that is what it is, sure. It seems most of my Cub fan friends hate him for being pompous or something. I can't remember him doing anything against the Cubs.

I think most of the hatred comes from him stealing quite a few hits from us over the years. We like to give him a hard time because he dives at balls he doesn't have to but more than anything it is just because he's a key player on our biggest rival.

I know it will smell like BS, but being from Illinois and having a lot of good friends in Chicago, I root for the Cubs when it doesn't matter to the Cards.
