The point of the Double Swtich is to make sure the pitcher spot doesn't come up right away, that is why you double switch. Taking out Floyd and putting the pitcher's spot in the 2 hole would have made zero sense.

 

Put the pitcher in JJ's spot and he's further down, you can have more position players hit before the P spot.
