Detroit is just a much better basketball team. Their team defense is too good for us to play draw, slash and kick. This is where having no low post scoring options kills us.

If I were Skiles, I'd pull a Pat Riley and try and ugly this game up. Slow it way down. They have no chance otherwise.

They can't keep making all these shots. We just have to rebound the ball and not turn it over. And get a few calls.

Sure they can keep making these shots. It's not like we're playing any defense.

High percentage, wide open shots.

Exactly. It's not like they're chucking up 25 foot jumpers and nailing them. They're very high percentage shots that are very good looks.

Detroit's shooting 74%, they can't be getting that many wide open looks.

Of course it doesn't matter, the Bulls can't come back from this big a deficit in Detroit.

The gamecast doesn't have the ability to tell you whether or not they're playing any defense, 'cause they aren't. They are wide open shots.

Oh, and I believe the Bulls still haven't hit a jump shot within the arc.

Jacking up threes would be a more efficient plan right now than what they're doing out there.

They aren't driving much, are they? This team needs to have the guards penetrate a lot, especially when the outside shots aren't falling.

They might as well. After all, they are missing their 2's and not getting near a rebound.

Well, they've managed to find a way to play worse than they did in game 1.

Can't wait for the turnovers to start.

Maybe try a zone?

Why is the defense playing poorly?

ETA: I ask because it doesn't seem like zone would help much.

Why is the defense playing poorly?

-Not guarding up top

-Not guarding against the mid-range shot

-Not guarding down low

-Not rebounding

-Stupid fouls on shots

I think that covers it.

Really what we need, Wallace. Giving away easy rebounds and letting them drill the three.
