I wish the Cubs would bring the blue and gold Cub head back to the sleeves like the one they used in the 60's and early 70's. If I recall correctly, Herman Franks had it changed because it didn't look mean enough.

 

I thought the mid-'90s interpretation was the best of all. It, like the "Cuba" script, lasted all of three seasons.

I agree. I'd like to see them just make the royal blue into navy blue like these old BP jerseys. They'd look so much better.

The Dodgers' new road uniforms, devoid of white trimming around the numbers and script, look terrific in comparison to the overdone Brewers duds.

I think if Mcdunnough is gonna force players to wear the standard white jerseys. He should also force all players to wear their pants legs high exposing the blue leggings just like soriano does.

 

Now i LOVE that look. I wouldn't miss the blue's so much if the homes could be worn the way they should be worn. That's probably one of the reasons I hate the pinstripes. Not enough blue in it. There IS enough blue, but the players hide it by having their pants all the way down to their shoes. It's ugly. If anybody wants to criticize uniforms. It should be how the home uni's look when the players don't wear it right.

I loved the blue road pullovers. They should definitely bring those back. I still don't understand why baseball uniforms have buttons on the front.

The cubs made the post season 25% of the time when they had those uni's. . . not a bad deal for the cubs :)

I wouldn't mind either of these. I prefer the Royal Blue but I would like to see the team keep some kind of blue alternate uniform. If that means it's navy blue or no alternate at all, sign me up as a backer of the navy blue.

Royal blue is, in general an ugly color, but the navy is nice and we need a blue. I cannot stand the gray. So much for my (good) memories of Ryno in the royal blue.
