Well, many of us are trying to kill some time before tommorrow is finally here, so we can always spend it rooting against the Cards. Just think, a Cards loss tonight and a Cubs win tommorrow means we are sitting on top of the division :D

Too lazy to do lineups and crap, but the game is at 8:10 (7:10 our time) on ESPN2.

Wasn't there a time where Cleveland or Cincinatti vs. whomever, always had the first game of the year. A day game I believe. Am I wrong on this.

Cincy always had the first game until they said the other day the Cubs vs Mets in Japan (I didn't think that was the first time it didn't happen, but maybe it was). Since then, they've decided to put this Sunday night game in, and just leave Cincy's game as the traditional day game rather than move it up to be the first game as usual.

That's bogus baseball is all about tradition. I guess money trumps tradition every time.

I heard on TV the other day that the first year that the Cincy game was not the first game of the year was the year that the Cubs played the Mets in Japan. I didn't think that was true, but apparently it was. Sorry for the confusing line there-hope that cleared it up.

Devil Rays. I actually woke up at like 3 AM to watch it. I was starved for baseball at that point.

Didn't we lose that game in extra innings or something?

EDIT - Nevermind, that was the second game of that series.

We won the first game thanks to a strong performance by Lieber and 3 RBI's by Shane Andrews. The Mets won game 2 in the 11th inning on a grand slam by Agbayani with 2 outs.

Didn't the Expos also play some regular season games in Puerto Rico a few years ago?

Yeah, that was 2003-I remember because Prior gave up something like 3 runs there, and it was a shock just because that was like his worst outing in 10 or something like that he was running so well.

Also, there was Matt Clement's no hitter that he had to be pulled from after, I believe, he walked the bases loaded.

I have Carpenter in a couple of fantasy leagues, so I hope he doesn't get rocked *too* bad.

Go Mets!

I avoided that problem this year, no Cardinals, no Astros and Joe Crede is the only White Sox I have. Go Mets here's to the Cards losing tonight and ooohhh about 89 more times after tonight!!
