Anyone else get the feeling that Plesac might have written the "Dummies Guide to Baseball"?

 

i could see him writing a 1,000 page book with no information in it.

 

Not trying to inflame, but just because he may not be the best color man, it doesn't mean he doesn't know anything about baseball.

I don't think either of us are implying he doesn't know anything about baseball. It's more to the point that he gives information that even the casual fan already knows, and he takes about 5 minutes to explain something that could be explained in 10 seconds.

yeah but given their track records, you're lucky if one of them is in the rotation and pitching pretty well

 

I don't have a huge problem with taking a flier on Marquis, if you believe that Rothschild has found some problem with his delivery. I do have a problem with 3 years and $21 million. The number of years is the biggest problem - if he really is as bad as he was last year, you've still got 2 more years of sinking pretty big money into a guy who is completely worthless.

Will people please quit mentioning Prior as if he is ready, and or healthy enough to start the year in the rotation?

 

I want him back as much as anyone, but I odn't think he is a realistic option at this point. He ha had one halfway decent ST start. He has a long way to go.

He's putting some solid effort in these last two games. I think he might do it with another Marquis performance. :lol:
