I think it's safe to say that Bonds owns Miller, too.

Ahhhh....Just had a great relaxing night at the Ritz Carlton with the Wife.

Okay bragging over.

GO CUBS! Curious to see what Miller does today and it's on TV!

Cubs line it up this way

Soriano, CF

Theriot, LF

Lee, 1B

Ramirez, 3B

DeRosa, 2B

Floyd, RF

Blanco, C

Izturis, SS

Miller, P

Theriot in LF and Floyd in RF? Seems to me it would be a better defensive alignment if they switched-of course, they might just be testing Floyd in RF so they can decide if they ever want to think of putting him there during the season or not.

DeRosa batting fifth?

That's...interesting.

Thanks, Bruce!

Floyd in RF at Wrigley is a scary thought.

I like seeing Theriot get some OF reps, even though this alignment would probably only be seen during the regular season due to flukey circumstances.

Probably because it's vs a LHP, Murton isn't in the lineup and Floyd = not so much a lefty killer.

When looking at DeRosa, remember also that

1) The fifth spot is not at all foreign to him-he spent almost as much time there as any other spot for the Rangers last year.

2) As Laura said, against a left-hander he is definitely a better option than anyone else for the 5 spot in this lineup.

3) He hasn't gotten very many hits against Zito, but he has drawn 6 walks in 26 PA's and out of his 4 hits, 2 have been HR's.

Pure Heat: MLB Flame Throwers is on CSN at 2, before the Cubs game. I have a feeling it'll be like MLB Bloopers, but with a different theme?...

Anyone else gonna watch it?

I'm actually looking forward to seeing Miller throw today. I haven't seen him pitch yet this year, and I want to see what kind of stuff he has. I'm still holding out hope that Guzman beats out Miller for the 5th spot, but with all the quotes from Lou it doesn't sound likely.

The Kerry Wood segment is depressing....What could've been.

Awesome that this is on TV.

For some, if you live in Chicago or have joined the gastapo that is DTV or if you have highspeed internet (which includes just about everyone but me) *sigh*

:(

Just WGN here....and that means Hawk and the Sox.

Am I the only one who doesn't particularly want to hear about Santo's "leaking"?

I think I'm the only person here who is rooting against Wade Miller. Well, maybe not rooting against but I'm not happy that he has apparently won the fifth spot. If he'd had any real competition he would be an afterthought! He hasn't really pitched well or gotten deep into his starts. He needs to go 5-6 innings today...

If Prior has another start like he had last time or better, I think he'll snag the #5 spot.
