Along with on-field expectations at Cubs games, beer prices at Wrigley Field will be going up. A reliable source says vendors were informed at orientation last week the cost of a 16-ounce can will be $6 this season, a 25-cent increase from 2006. That would mean the Cubs have caught up to the White Sox -- in terms of what a fan would pay for a beer. Except that the Sox are expected to raise their beer price from last season's $6 by 25-50 cents.

I think this basically means that a lot of tips will be disappearing.

And a lot of bottles of Jack from pockets will be appearing

I prefer the camelback approach coupled with pre-gaming, but that's just me.

Would you pay $6 for a beer at a bar? Here is what my rich finance friends do....they don't buy beer, they bring in their own stuff.

One brings in brandy, another brings in wine and another brings in Jack

For one the beer is warm, .32 and once it is poured without foam....

how one does it figure out for yourselves but be cool

I wouldn't but it if was 3 dollars. Them raising beer prices doesn't do anything to me. I'm not a beer drinker. If I want to drink, I'll gulp it and make sure I get a lot more for my money. A spare flask is always welcome.

It's a "hydration" system. We used them a lot in the military. Much better than water bottles...helps keep your body temp down if you keep the liquid cold to start out with.

Or you can sneak in your own alcohol. I do remember they allow anything that looks like water, so Agua Ardiente would do.

Will they allow you to bring in something like that? I figured they wouldn't. My buddy used to work security at Wrigley, I can ask him

Just conceal it beneath a coat, pregnant woman style. Works like a charm.

Most civi pat downs - if you even get one - miss just about every likely place to conceal something. Pretty sad if you ask me.
