Who are these announcers on WGN? They don't sound annoying enough to be Hawk and DJ.

Really? They aren't pissing me off as much as I remember them being. Maybe they're waiting for the regular season.

 

Hawk has been pretty quiet for about 2 innings.

 

That's quality broadcasting right there. He said maybe 4 words last inning. Not that I'm complaining.

Theyre pumping up the cell and trying to get people to go by saying its an expirience youll never forget and its amazing.Theyre trying to get more than 800 people to fill the ballpark this year.I guess they call hanging around with a bunch of crumb bums and getting robbed and carjacked a great time.

I was thinking the same thing. They have done some nice things in the cell, unfortunately they have the area surrounding the park that fans have to deal with. All the cool stuff inside doesn't do squat if your fans gotta dodge bullets on the way to their car.

It's bascially the American version of Iraq in and around the Cell...Inside your dodging fists and beer cups and outside your dodging bullets.

Not that I make a habit of watching White Sox games, but I've heard several times where DJ simply takes over. Sometimes for an entire inning.

 

He seems to just shut up, and sometimes it makes you wonder if he left the booth. Maybe he just likes DJ now and wants him to get more exposure (though certainly their relationship didn't start out very smoothly).

Anyone care to give a brief game recap and summary of what is happening right now?
White Sox brought their hitting shoes and the Cubs have looked poor on defense. Guzman pitched ok but didn't strike anyone out.

 

Right now. Cherry walked Thome.

 

Cherry has looked pretty good today.

 

2 on and 2 out.

Guzman did alright. His stuff looked decent. I'd still rather see Miller get the #5 nod just so we can get him traded for something decent.

 

I'd rather see the best players be the starters, for a change. Miller's going to net us some midline prospect either way.

 

Gooz is better, IMO. I dunno maybe that will change. I'm doubting it.
