Starter Mark Buehrle struggled through four innings, giving up six runs on six hits and two walks.

I can't agree-Prior in each of his starts averaged more runs per inning than Buehrle did-the only reason he only allowed 4 runs each time was that they pulled him.

Prior wasn't pulled yesterday. :-k

Maybe I should have phrased that more clearly-Prior most likely would have given up more runs if he had gone more than 1 2/3 innings and 2 innings in his 2 starts, such as if had gone 4 innings like Buehrle did.

But we aren't counting on Prior.

We're also counting on the likes of Jason Marquis, Neal Cotts, and Wade Miller then if Prior continues to blow.

It's just spring training. Pitchers always tend to struggle early because they have to get their arm conditioned. I'm not worried about Prior at all. The velocity will get back up there and he'll gain control of his curve. I'm sure Sox fans aren't worried about Buehrle's early struggles either.

If I was Buerhle I would be kicking myself in the butt for not taking the extension which was offered last year to him. Let's face it, ever since Buerhle pitched against the cubs and was clobbered he hasn't been the same. I'm not saying it is because of the Cubs' doing but he just hasn't been the same since.
