I'm surprised A-Rod is still a Yankee as of today. With all the hate that has been spewed in A-Rod's general direction, I have no idea why he's sticking it out in New York. It can't be because of the World Series rings, because he doesn't have one of those.

I think I have to give him some credit for once for sticking it out. I never really cared for how he treated his former teams.

I said no, only because I've adopted a pessimistic attitude about the Cubs since sometime last year. I'm slowly recovering, but this is just too much at once... :P

I think ARod wants out. I don't think he is happy. He just does not want to be precieved as a quitter. I think the Randy Johnson interview speaks volumes on the NY media. He wasn't happy, but other than the little camera guy pushing incident he kept it to himself. But once he got back to Arizona he pretty much said what a circus it is in NY. Arod may not be a Cub, but he really needs to get out of New York.

While it is nice to think about, I just don't see it happening. For the Yankees to trade him, they will want a lot of talent in return. Furthermore, we don't have a place to play him unless he shifts back to SS. Would he? I don't know. Can he? I have some doubts, but I'd love to try him there. However, I just see this as something that will be speculated on ad nauseum but will never come to fruition.

Rather than getting my hopes up I'm assuming it won't happen and let it be a pleasant surprise if it does. Therefore I answered no.

If you were to give ARod a choice right now of what team to play for, without worrying about the contract issues, there is a good chance he would choose the Cubs. It seems he really wants out of NY and already has a good relationship with Lou. That gives the Cubs a better shot than most other teams at getting him in the offseason, and I hope that they do.
