I was reading through a couple of old Teddy Greenstein articles I hadn't read, and caught this tidbit from last week...maybe this has been discussed, but I haven't seen it:

ESPN formally announced Dusty Baker's hiring as a "Baseball Tonight" analyst. Baker, who essentially replaces Harold Reynolds, will debut March 28 during a Braves-Mets spring training game. As the Tribune's Mark Gonzales reported last month, the two-year deal calls for Baker to provide analysis in studio and via satellite. The former Cubs manager also is slated to work 10 regular-season games, the postseason and the Little League World Series.

Just another reason not to watch that show...

I wonder how many Cubs games he'll get though.

Oh I'll be watching it. Dusty's commentary should be pretty good comedy.

Just perfect. Steve Phillips, John Kruk and Dusty on the same set.

Thank god for blackout restrictions.

No way. In 200 years people at the national archives will crack up listening to those 3 idiots.

Over/Under on first time Dusty goes off on a nonsensical, metaphor riddled tangent about fishing or some other such nonsense?

Wow. I'm never watching that show again.

It's really gone down the crapper.

Is it really any different than ESPN in general?

I really wish that there was an alternative to Baseball Tonight, because I love seeing the highlights from all the games that day.
