Cubs Tickets: Official Successes & Failures Thread ©

Today was extremely stressful for me today. Got 2 tix right away one of them being April 21st St. Louis game the other being the Saturday June 16th San Diego game. Then my computer locks up. So I restarted it. I then got the St. Louis Friday game in April. Just minutes after that my cable modem dies. I call the cable company and they say I can swap out a new one if I go to their office that is 20 miles from where I live. I decide to go to a public library that is 7 miles away. I get through and buy the Friday June 15 San Diego game. After this I kept on getting through but when I got to the confimation stage it would not let me buy the tix. So then I decide to drive to the Cable companies office and swap out the modem. Which is now 27 miles from the library. My Mom and Step Dad live in that town so I go to their house to save on time. They have a Mac and I guess with those you cant do the multiple window trick. So I leave there. I hook my modem up and find out I have to call the cable company and register the modem. This seemed to take for ever. Then I finally got in at 4:00P.M. and got the last three games I wanted. (Seattle series in June)

 

I got all the games I was shooting for and am sitting where I want to sit (the bleachers). But it sure was irritating how it didn't go all that smoothly.

 

Sorry if this is to long but I just had to vent.

 

That does suck, but at least you ended up with what you needed.

Just picked up 2 each for the Giants on 7/17 and 7/18.

 

Bleacher seats on the 17th

 

Sec 235 on the 18th

If anyone can't get tickets right now to any of the games left I'd be shocked. It's DAMN easy to get into the ticket purchasing area, and I'm very tempted to buy some Pirates value date in September.

Yep...14 of my 20 windows are open. I don't see how anyone is not getting through at this point.

My 4 bleachers for 4/21 against STL are still on the market. I'd prefer to make some profit and sell them for 60 or so apiece, but I'll take the best offer.

Got pretty much everything I wanted. If any of y'all will be going to any of the same games and would like to mee up pre-game, post-game, or during the game (I've got bleachers for all but Friday Sox and Father's Day), that'd be cool.

Wow, looks like you had quite a successful (and expensive) day.

 

Take into account the fact that I took today off of work and the old style an inning I'll be consuming (except for the fathers day game), and it gets a lot more expensive. :)

I'm actually annoyed with how easy it's been, I can get tickets but can't think of more I want to go to. I'm spending money for no reason.

Why haven't I bought Sox tickets every year?

 

I just flipped 6 bleacher seats for the Sox game for 600 bucks, and 4 bleacher seats for one of the April Cards game for 320 bucks. Today has been a good day!

 

And if anyone is interested, I still have 2 tickets for the Saturday Cards game, and 4 for the Sunday Cards game available (all bleachers).

When I got in the first time I could have gotten Sox tickets. I seriously thought about getting them and try to flip them. With all the problems I had today, probably a good thing I didn't I may have not gotten the Cardinal tickets that I wanted.
