Now what's the bigger story... Vinatieri makes the FG to bury his former team, or he shanks a playoff FG to lose a game?

After watching the end of the Chargers-Pats game I immediately predicted to my girlfriend that the Colts-Pats game would come down to a Vinatieri field goal attempt. I hope it comes down to a made field goal by him but either way, I think he's going to decide it.

I'm just bumping this thread up-I know what Bears fans meant about being nervous. I can't believe I passed up tickets to this game (although I would have to drive 7 hours to go to it). Oh well, my parents will both be there-the Dome will be as loud as maybe it has ever been, and hopefully that will be in victory!

Agreed-that's a huge break for the Patriots as Addai had plenty of chance to catch that for a huge gain.

 

Yeah, the announcers are saying it was too long, but I strongly disagree. The ball was securely in his hands. No good reason to drop it.

He got two hands on the ball at the same time, which means the ball wasn't thrown too long. Harrison and Wayne would have pulled that in. Oh well.

Exactly. Colts dropping like flies, Freeney left and now Gary Brackett.
