Wouldn't it be funny if they got Dubois, Jody Gerut and Matt Lawton?

 

BTW, its pretty amazing how those trades turned out. We had such high hopes for Dubois, but him and Gerut did not even play in 2006, and Lawton played only 11 games in 2006.

Gerut was hurt most of the year. Dubois wasn't good enough to make it back and Lawton has had steroid issues along with a declining bat and injuries.

 

I still can't believe how bad Lawton stunk it up while wearing a Cub uniform.

I also thought Lawton would be better. Jason just seems like the classic AAAA guy.

Two things about Montanez, Beer:

 

1: His SISTER is HOT, HOT, Jamician Hot.

 

2: Yeah, he'll be an All-Star at AAA.

It's hard to really call Montanez a "wasted first round pick" when pretty much all of the first rounders that year haven't turned out to be anything. That was a pretty weak draft.
