I hate that the game had to come down to this, but I'll take the win and home field and be happy.

BTW, the TB announcers were saying that the Rashied Davis catch should have been ruled incomplete. Any truth to that?

On the game break, I looked up after the Davis play was over, but they were saying that "it wasn't reviewed by the booth", which implied that there was at least some doubt that it was a catch.

Lets have a straight-forward win next week... Dont embaress youselves against the Lions.

They probably will rest starters the last 2 games. I don't agree with that decision, but I'm guessing that is what they will do.

The starters should be able to take it easy next week, but I think they need to play more minutes against Green Bay with the two week lay-off. While I don't think you can blame Lovie sitting the starters against Minnesota last year for the poor performance against Carolina, I don't think it helped either. I don't want to see these guys get lazy.

If the starters get rested the last 2 weeks, I can see the Bears getting seriously smoked in the divisional game.

on a side not, Tim Rattay should have been starting as soon as Simms got hurt. He was pretty decent in San Fran given the circumstances.

I fell asleep early in the second and woke up with about 8min in OT and thought it was some kind of joke.

Cliff Notes:

what happened? 3 Fum by Hester? only one lost though. aarrrggh

our defense almost blew us a game, and not Rex I presume? i little payback

should i get my heart checked out?

The Defense took a dump in the 2nd half. RMJ got smoked by Galloway on the one TD.

you could tell Hester would have a bad day just by the way he was acting all cocky at the start. the coverage of him got to his head this week

Ian Scott played well today I thought. I really think they should start him at NT and Tank(if he comes back, and to tell you the truth, he needs to come back) at the 3 technique.

Yup, that's what held back Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders too.

(..only playing ;))

I have Tivo. I watched the catch and the replays several times after hearing "it wasn't reviewed by the booth." It was very clearly a catch, and I really have no idea why that phrase was used.

I was hoping for a tie, bet no one has ever clinched on a tie. After that, I was hoping for the bears to complete the implosion so lovie could say "the bucs were who we thought they were!"

Oh well, I'll take the win

I was extremely disappointed in Lovie's playing not to lose this game towards the end of the 4th quarter. No confidence in Rex whatsoever by the coaching staff.

then if he goes and throws a interception, all you would hear about the next week is

Is rex the anwser, is rex the starters, and all that crap.

the momentum of the game had clearly gone in TB's favor so i see nothing wrong with them slowing the game down.

The chances of something bad happening were far greater then Rex mounting a game winning drive.

I missed the whole game. 31 points and only 10 first downs for the Bucs? Was it just the big plays that got em back in it. Thats what it looks like. The Bears are very hard to get big plays on. They make you earn the points, didnt sound like that happened today.

Grossman put up some really good numbers. Hope he played as well as his numbers say.

While that caller is a bit, uhm, "special," I am worried along those lines that the Bears are going to get knocked out in their first playoff game just like they did last year...with the defense crapping the bed. The D has been pretty ugly this week and last.

Fortunate win, but you most winning teams have a few of those, especially in the modern NFL. Also, I'd submit that the D probably prepped for Gradowski for much of the week, only to have Ratay come in. Could be wrong about that one though.

I think the GB game will tell us more about the D, assuming the 1st team plays at all that is.

Maybe the defense getting their ass kicked today will force them to reconsider cutting Tank Johnson. I'm hoping.

Yeesh, my power goes out at halftime and this is what happens in the second half?

Hope this lights a fire in the team. Glad to see Grossman played strong in the second half. The secondary obviously misses Vasher.

Meh.

At least they have HFA throughout the playoffs.

Ron Riveria also needs to come up with some more exotic blizt packages, IMO.

His blitzing has left a lot to be desired the past few years. If both Tank and Tommie are out, he really needs to do something (his blitzes are far too predicible).

A lot like the AZ game despite the Rex Grossman interceptions. Hopefully, the losing coach's reaction is better.

With all of the injuries that the Bears are accumulating, it would be wise to rest the starters as much as possible during the last two weeks of the season.

Of course, I'm definitely hoping they sit the 1st stringers in two weeks if we still have a shot at the playoffs
