Hopefully Rex has learned that punts are ok. The Bears mixed it up really nicely against the Rams and I see it continuing against the Bucs. Rex isn't out of it yet, one more bad game and we're back where we were last week. Check it down, throw the intermediate routes and complete passes. Thats the key.

One more game without Vasher would be fine, especially to develop others. But I wouldn't want him to miss any more. He might be a little rusty with just one game before a first round bye.

So is this game getting moved to 3:15 or what?

No, they make those changes a couple weeks in advance. The only week left undecided for the late games is week 17.

Damn.

Glad this one stayed a noon game.

With the Rams playing later, and local FOX showing a noon game, they better choose to air the Bears game.

Hester has touched the ball for the last time this season. Squib kicks and punts out of bounds for the rest of the year. If I'm coaching against the Bears, Hester only gets to touch the ball on a trick special teams play.

That's going to lead to some awful nice field position.

I would think teams that have something to lose (ie: in playoffs) would have almost no choice. You can't risk a Hester touchdown right after you've scored. They might just figure they have a better chance of stopping Rex than stopping Hester.

Hester's fumbles/muffs from earlier are going to inspire some coaches to punt to him deep in the Bears territory.

C'mon no kick returner is so good that they force the opposition to kick off out of bounds.

More than likely they will attempt to kick it to the opposiite site of the field that Hester is on, or kick it to the up man, like when a half is about to end.

If the Bears D had everyone healthy, I'd be shocked if they weren't #2. But they don't, and right now a Ravens/Bears or Saints/Bears game would be really close.

Is there anything worse than listening to Sean Salisbury talking football? Maybe listening to him talk other sports on the radio but still. It's one of the biggest mysteries in the world why he has a job.

They can try to kick it away from him, and I'm sure they will, but ultimately on kickoffs they're going to have to kick it deep most of the time. Otherwise the Bears will have the ball at the 40-45 every possession, which will pin their offense deep all game.

There's really not a guaranteed way to stop a KR/PR from getting the ball.

I hate HATE HATE HATE how the Saints leapfrogged us.

That is just incredibly frustrating. Nothing we could have done on Monday Night could have stopped that, clearly.

We HAVE to win a playoff game this year. I wont deal with us at least not going to the NFC Championship with the NFC this weak.

Sean Salisbury just said on NFL live that he thinks in a Super Bowl - Neutral Site - warm weather type of game, that any of the top AFC team would be the Bears. He picked the Colts, Bengals, Chargers, Ravens, Jaguars and Patriots would all beat the Bears.

Eric Allen thought the Bears could beat the Colts and Jags, but agreed on the rest.

I don't see the point in worrying about that. Had the Bears not given up so many yards and points against STL, and if they did not play them so close in the first half, I think they may be considered a little higher. But this isn't college where polling matter. The record is what matters.

I think any of those teams could beat the Bears. I also think the Bears could beat any of those teams. If they settle down the defense a bit, get guys healthy, and keep getting good Rex, the Bears would beat anybody. But none of those things is guaranteed.
