Jason Schmidt is a sellout punk. I heard he knocked up some teenage girl after he got out of San Quentin and has 13 STD's and a heroin addiction.

Not really, but that's how upset I am about this. The Dodgers are the bane of our existence

well that's it, season's over.

then we'll be seeing you next November Truffle.

overreacting a little? the off season has three and a half months left, and if Hill comes anywhere near what most experts are projecting, the Cubs already have a solid number two. the season's not over by any means.

This is 100% secondhand, but someone at the St. Louis Dispatch's Cardinal forum is saying a Phoenix radio station is saying the Schmidt deal is not final and that there is a higher bidder out there.

Like I said, FWIW.

Bold prediction: Schmidt ends up beaning Soriano in the face on a pickoff move, breaking many bones and ending his season, and on his next pitch he hits Aramis with a pitch in the kneecap, shattering it, thus ending his career.

Schmidt will replace Rafael Furcal as the most hated Dodger by Cubs fans.

Is there a chance that Hendry finally got around to reading all my posts? Not likely.

I don't think Aramis will ever bat directly behind Soriano.

You see, Soriano was on base. Doesn't mean Aramis was directly behind him.

While I doubt it, there could be something to it. Rosenthal is reporting it done, ESPN close, and MLB.com has said Schmidt told teammates (though it doesn't name the teammates) that he will be a Dodger.

I fully expect him to be a Dodger, but if something changed...I guess it's not impossible until the ink is dry on the contract.

Ooooooh, didn't notice that, you win.

But due to a "offensive blackout" that last the whole season in LA, Jason Schmidt finished the 2007 season witha 9-14 record. An era that apprach low 4, and a whip into the 1.30.

I posted this over there too. There is no freaking way Hendry can let Schmidt come to St. Louis.

Whatever it takes, do it.

On 590 Schmidt's agent said they will meet with the Cardinals one more time.

Really doubt Schmidt would be telling his Giant' teammates that he's signing with the Dodgers if he still had a meeting planned with the Cards.

MLB.com[/url]"]The Dodgers apparently are on the verge of acquiring the power pitcher they've coveted, as free-agent right-hander Jason Schmidt on Wednesday told former Giants teammates he accepted a three-year, $47 million offer to pitch in Los Angeles.
