I see what you're saying, in that it would have been better to pick up the 3rd and short, but if Moose doesn't stumble, or Rex sees the stumble and adjusts, it's a TD pass. It's hard to fault that read.

Yes, that's been my argument. Unfortunately most people seem to think players are bulletproof and the negativity will have no effect.

Minnesota is pretty terrible in the secondary. Turner probably felt he could take advantage of that.

 

In retrospect, though, after the bad pick it would have been better to continue that drive.
