urlacher gets a penalty for flexing his arms? As I have said hundreds of times, being a ref is the easiest job in the fing world. You can do a horrible horrible job and still nothing happens. These guys have to be held responsible for their calls once in a while.

Why is Grossman getting most of the blame on that? Turner's the one who thinks it's a good idea to chuck it deep with a windchill below 5 and a 15 mph wind. The read by Rex wasn't bad. It was one on one for Berrian. But you just cannot call that play.

grossman has more than one option. he should know that if he's throwing downfield in this weather, berrian had better be pretty open. he wasn't.

Berrian one on one against a bad defensive back isn't a terrible read. Bernard did a horrible job on that play by not coming back for it at all. But that was the primary read on the play and that's what he threw. There just isn't a reason to call that play in the first place.

Rex's arm is alright, but that was just too far a throw for him. If he wants that read, then he needs to throw it sooner than that and he didn't.

At least some of that is on Rex, like it or not.

of course some is, but not as much as is being placed.

Tim Ryan 'Johnson has the edge because he's managing the game.' what are we supposed to forget the tossup he made to Manning? he's just the league punching bag right now and it's not completely warranted.

Exactly. Johnson is exactly what Griese is. Anyone clamoring for that is insane.

People need to lay off Rex. The crowd needs to stop being stupid, Turner needs to stop being overly aggressive, and call some plays to get Rex some confidence, and Rex needs to settle down and stop trying to throw 3 TD's on one play.

I disagree with you completely. While that was a bogus call no way is it the easiest job in teh world.

The roughing the passer rule has to be looked at this offseason.

Agreed. This is beyond stupid. Tommie Harris said it right early in the season: "We don't even know what to do anymore."

2 things that need to addressed by the rules committee this offseason.

1) Roughing the passer needs to be better defined. There has to be something a defender can do. The Giants didn't wrap up Vince Young last week because they were afraid of a roughing penalty, and now this with Urlacher. The players have to be afraid to do ANYTHING!

2) Pass Interference needs to be reviewable. It's too subjective at game speed.

More runs for Benson, please.

You know, he and TJ are very different runners...if the coaching staff does it right, those two can be a very good combo.

Amen.

Personal fouls should also be reviewable.

Benson moves a pile like Thomas Jones's bicep's wish they could.

If I was any Bear I'd be afraid of using my biceps

Turner just has no idea how to find a middle ground between deep throws and runs straight up the middle. The first drive had the best play calls..
