Interesting. Definitely supports the "Gold Rush" theme this week. I love the gold pants, but I've never seen the gold jersey tops, I'm excited.

On to a personal note, it's finally time for vengeance upon Spurrier. I'm ready to get this UT v Spurrier matchup over with. I think it'll be a tough game, with Spurrier getting his boys fired up to beat us. Ultimately, I think we pull it out by no more than a couple TDs. Then we get ready for LSU and Arkansas. Tough stretch.

Are you sure Phat Phil wants more of Darth Visor? You guys had more talent last year and we beat you in your house. College Gameday will be in the house as well. Should be a good one. It would be huge for us to get a win. So far we've beaten the teams we were supposed to beat and we've lost to the two highly ranked teams we played.

Drew Tate is out for the game against NIU on Saturday. He had surgery on his hand, so he could be out for more than just this game.

 

Iowa looked bad without Tate against 'Cuse. Hopefully the same happens against NIU, except they actually get the 'L' this time :)

Who brought up the 2002 'Luckeyes', damn you. Throughout the whole year i thought they were so overrated. The purdue game was the game that put me over the edge. I forgot about the Illini and Cincy game and right now cant remember the UM/OSU game so dont remind me, im sure to shake my head and say 'yup wtf' if you do.

 

I remember that year. I remember the Tony Johnson catch against UM with two feet in bounds, putting Penn State in field goal range with like 25 seconds left... but it was called out and Penn State had to punt. I'm not still bitter at all.

 

especially when in college you only need one foot in bounds. Someday the NCAA will take the Big 10 officials off of the Michigan payroll

 

Earlier in that drive some PSU reciever trapped a ball that was called a completion. If that play was called correctly it would have been something like 4th and 12 on the PSU 20. The call was just about as obvious as the catch made later. Some reason it is hard to point out refereeing calls that dont seem to go your way.

 

I havent heard too many PSU fans complaining about the pass interference call against Minnesota in OT or the phantom holding call on Illinois last drive that negated a big run from Juice Williams.

 

I guess it is hard to point out that your team has just been dominated by Michigan. Well welcome to the Big Ten most of the rest of us are used to it.

 

 

Edit: By the way Cubweiser, If I remember correctly a offensive pass interference call on a touchdown pass. I dont remember the Michigan reciever(Edwards?) He did push off, it however was a standard play made by most recievers in the end zone that for some reason was called at that moment. Of course this does seem to contridict the "Large Refs are for Michigan Conspiracy"

I have no problem admitting that the pass interference call was bad in the Minnesota game. Bad on the replay. I thought it was intereference when the play happened live. The angle the ref had might have seemed that way too. But definitely not a penalty on further review.

My quick opinion: ND shouldn't necessarily be ahead of Tennessee to begin with, but there was no reason to switch them after Saturday.

Someone tell me why LSU deserves to be ranked so high as a 2 loss team? If they beat a decent team I could see why but they haven't.

 

Why don't I see the media complaining that the ACC doesn't deserve a BCS bid like they did with the Big East? Didn't a 4 loss Florida St team go last year and it's possible that the team that goes this year will have at least 2 losses.

Plenty of people complained about FSU going to the BCS last year. I would say, especially after the games were completed, that more people complained about FSU and the ACC than WVU and the Big East.

The wind chill is supposed to be 30 degrees pretty much all game up in Michigan with a 40% chance of showers and 25-35 mph winds with gusts occasionally getting up to 50 mph.
