But atleast Hunter provides SOME power, which Pierre doesn't. Hunter is a superior player to Pierre. But I don't neither in CF for the Cubs in 2007.

I obviously wouldn't since I don't think it's a good idea to pay him 12M without giving up something in return. It's possible that actual GMs would though.

I know he's a FA, but do you think he's going to get $12M? The Rangers loved GMJ this year, and I think he'll come cheaper than Hunter. I know the talk about this year being an anomoly for Matthews, but he was pretty consistent all year long, and nobody knows that better than the Rangers. I expect them to bring him back.
