They could still trade him, though, right?

 

I would think so since he was never a free agent so he was always property of the Twins.

Torii is a lucky man, would he have made 12 million on the open market? That .336 OBP being so JuanPierrish...

 

But atleast Hunter provides SOME power, which Pierre doesn't. Hunter is a superior player to Pierre. But I don't neither in CF for the Cubs in 2007.

My guess is that the Twins won't have to trade him, but they would be willing to take offers on him.

 

Texas would be interested in him, but I don't think they would at that price.

 

You think they'd rather have Hunter than Matthews?

 

Matthews may be leaving as a FA.

If they don't trade him, this is a pretty bad idea.

 

Why would you trade anything for him though? He's not worth the money, let alone any players on top of that.

I obviously wouldn't since I don't think it's a good idea to pay him 12M without giving up something in return. It's possible that actual GMs would though.
