I just think Hinrich is a great back up guard for a playoff team. I don't think he is a true 1 or 2 and it is really hard to play him and Gordon at the same time. There are a few guys I would rather have than him, Paul not being one of them(sorry but he can't guard a chair). I agree about not including the number 1 pick to get Williams.

I think you're underestimating Hinrich's talents. He's a solid NBA starting guard. Duhon's the player that has no business in a starting lineup, but that's on Skiles to fix.

Paul is an elite PG at 21. The sky's the limit with him. You're wearing some serious homer goggles if you think Deron's in his class.

Look at their numbers when matched head to head. Paul's team has yet to win a game, including college :). I think you are selling Deron short also. Duhon sucks. I don't see what people have seen in him dating back to when he was a top 5 player in high school.

Seriously? That's a really small sample and a poor way to compare the two.

How so? I just prefer Hollinger's PER stat over your college-attended metric. :)

Yeah, but college attended is pretty important. Much more so than some number system put in place by some guy. Jeesh me and Dick Vitale are through trying to reason with you buddy.

Seriously though, does it go back in history? I would like to know where Deron rates as opposed to other successful point guards at a very young age. I would imagine better than Chauncey Billups did at the same point and he turned out ok.

Does what go back in history? If you're talking about PER, you can find historical player data -- including PER -- at http://www.basketball-reference.com. The numbers there don't quite match up with Hollinger's numbers at ESPN, so I suspect the guy at Basketball Reference is using one of Hollinger's older formulas. But the data's still useful.

Ugh. The bulls were up 11-4 with just over 5 minutes to go in the first quarter. They trail 27-18 at the end of the first quarter.

The Bulls wake up and trail by just 46-43 at the half.

And then the Wizards go on a 13-2 run to make it 59-45. Skiles calls a timeout about 3 minutes too late.

And by the way, Duhon is awful.

Skiles is really starting to piss me off with his substitution patterns. Why the hell is Sweetney playing in the fourth? Why do Griffin and Allen suddenly get good minutes while Thabo and Thomas sit on the bench? What the hell is going on with this team?

And the most obvious one; why is Gordon still on the bench to start games and to start the 2nd half? The Bulls made their run in this game as soon as BG came in for Duhon. It's definitely not a coincidence either.

It took me a while to realize Monday is MLK Jr. Day. Wish I had it off. :(

I'll be going back to SIU that day. Going to miss the Bulls game and waste most of the day doing that.

Not that I really want him, but I'm sort of annoyed that Webber didn't mention the Bulls among the teams he'd want to go to to contend...especially considering that the perception is that the Bulls' biggest need is an inside scoring presence, and that's probably what he sees himself as.

No respect.. [-(

I'd like Webber on the team. He seems to have a decent attitude and he wants to win.

I don't think he has a lot of basketball left in those legs.

At least you can watch tonight.

Although their 18 point lead is down to 8 just like that.

Did the color guy just say that "House is brought in to change the complexity of the game"?

That he did. BTW, that was Reggie Miller.
