What? Are you implying they are gonna announce on THE SCORE of all things that they hired Girardi? When did they say this because I've been listening to it. Not saying you lied I might just not be listening closely.

I sure hope so at this point. With Gonzalez off the market, the longer we wait... the better the odds that Sweet Lou makes his way to the North Side.

True. There is still larry deirker and razor shines out there though. But even though Hendry said his search will be "long and extensive" it's not such a bad thing for it to be QUICK either. Haha maybe he saw how fast Florida got Freddie G. and thought Uh Oh, better operate quicker.

I know we can't sign free agents before a certian date. Does the same apply for managers?

Um well. Florida just hired Gonzalez so why can't we hire Girardi?

Will there be an intersection between Girardi and McDonough or will they move from one straight to the other I wonder?

Seems pretty close. What would make GREAT radio is if he interviews for the managerial position on the air :)

Especially if he took listeners calls.

"would you ever tell a player named neifi perez to bunt in the ninth inning down by two runs?"

"No"

"you're hired."

GM's can be hired now up until the World Series, but no hires can be made during the WS. If we don't have one in place by then, I'd honestly be rather confused if not concerned ... worried ... wtf is Hendry doing wasting away this time ... ohmygodwe'restuckwithPinellabecauseeveryoneelsehasbeenhiredbynow!

See what I mean?

If you stream it online, you could use a program like audacity to record it for future listening.

Or you could ask WGN Radio to make it available as a podcast, as they often do, but the chances of you getting a definite answer on that before the broadcast may be slim.

I don't want to take a chance of them making it a podcast. So thanks for the audacity info.
