There's an absolutely amazing photograph on the front page of Tuesday's Tribune. The only copy of it that I could find on-line is from the Cleveland Plain-Dealer website. I'm not nearly computer savvy enough to post it here nor link it directly.

Click here to see a small version of it. You can also click it to see an enlarged copy. I'd love it if somebody could post it here or find another copy of it.

A Cleveland Indians fan holds up a sign stating "Look Who's Choking Now," after the Indians beat the Chicago White Sox 14-1 on Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, at Jacobs Field in Cleveland.

I think that one is the best.

Misguided criticism

Ozzie wants more bunting and less strikeouts. He's blaming the team failings on offense.

This year's Sox have already scored 114 more runs than last year's version. But people are all worried about the % of runs scored via the HR (perhaps the dumbest stat ever given so much air time in Chicago). He's worried about too many strikeouts even though Detroit has struck out 69 more times this year.

Just ignore the fact that the pitchers have given up 137 more runs this year compared to last.

Idiocy is everywhere in baseball.

Lets hope the free agent rating system remains as screwy as in the past and they keep supplemental picks around for another year. We could end up with the sox first round pick!

Very true. Don't blame the offense. Can you imagine where this team would be without the offense? The pitching just flat out stunk this year, and that's the reason they missed the playoffs.

The best part about that is the potential outbidding for Juan Pierre done by the White Sox. Bye Bye Slappy!!

I love it.

BTW It wouldn't let me put Pierre and 9 on the jersey so I picked 10.
