Is this an early game or an early release of lineups?

The first Cubs @ Philly series I'm not attending in quite a few years.

Miller's last couple starts will be interesting. It'd be great if he could return to his pre-injury self and resign with the Cubs. Imagine if he returned to his potential along with Prior and the Cubs signed Schmidt.

Zambrano, Schmidt, Hill, '03 Prior, '01-'04 Miller.

....There I go being all optimistic.

Um, huh? Murton batting 4th? Blanco at 1st? Soto gets a start? Did Dusty get replaced and Hendry forgot to call a press conference?

LOL..most of this has been happening already. This is the 4th time this month that the Blanco/Cedeno/Soto combination has been the bottom of the order. Now, Murton batting 4th-I don't think is that usual-it's usually been 5th. Though, I can understand why people have been taking time off from the team-it's certainly been well deserved after this year's team :D

Murton is only hitting fourth because we're facing a lefty and starting the OWNED triplets at the bottom.

I really don't like Blanco starting at first base. Scott Moore can do it.

Scott Moore has to earn his playing time. He's a rookie. We're in a pennant race.

And all of a sudden Cedeno has been hitting well..

And Miller looks good. Not all of a sudden though. More steadily. .

Anybody think we have our #4 starter? I of course would like to see another good start in his last start, but Miller has really pitched well the last couple starts. I just hope that as he goes into FA that he isn't going to demand a huge contract, although I understand he definitely is going to get a decent-sized raise.

Go Cubs!

Now with our Fecal League hopes all but destroyed, I wouldn't mind playing spoiler.

Don't worry we're still in it!! Cedeno baby!

Nah, we're still finished.

It's a little bit too late for Cedeno. He didn't suck when it mattered.

Let me get this straight, Pierre reaches to lead off the inning.

Up comes Theriot, who goes 3-0, before taking the next pitch to go 3-1.

Dusty calls for the hit and run and Theriot pops up.

Dusty, you won't be missed.
